I just finished watching this movie, and my “boomer” take is that it’s a far more interesting film today, observing all the social mores & lifestyle of 55 years ago. However, despite an all-star cast, I thought the characters were one-dimensional (except perhaps Brando), and the party scenes were over-the-top. But it was fun to watch.

You can take the girl out of the cantina but you can't take the cantina out of the girl.

Chuck Norris can put his hand through glass without shattering the window.

What Ruby Dee said about 1 hour and 3 minutes into the movie was powerful and reflects how a lot of folks feel even today.

Thank you for posting this movie. Although it is not a western, it is still very relevant. There is a message behind this story line which is meaningful to our lives. Food for thought.

I loved this scene when I originally saw it

a Gruman Goose flying down the Grand Canyon and landing on the Colarado River! - this movie is worth watching for that alone

I grew up watching Westerns, War Movies and Detective Shows with my dad and this was one of our favorites. This one and Stalag 17 were two of William Holden’s best IMHO..

Glenn Ford wears that old brown jacket in more than one movie....pretty sure. Good flick....different out there story..but okay good.
